Character requirements

Prep maps want fog clear; the 7-wave arena wants a tanky specialized kit — Lolcohol names Kosis / Omniphobia and hallway arenas as the hard check.

· Budget recovery for Omniphobia slam / leap spikes from wave 4+
· Respect Kosis beams / corrupted blood teleports — deaths waste the open

How do I open Simulacrum?

Trigger Trial of Madness so fog spreads including a locked Simulacrum, then push that fog to 100% Deliriousness — the encounter opens as a 7-wave fight. Grand Mirror dual-boss clears are the usual way to seed Trial of Madness fog (Maxroll / Lolcohol pathing); GGG defines the 100% / 7-wave unlock.

Build check still wants a tanky 7-wave kit. Prep/tablets carry the unlock — older fragment-apply / Realmgate recipes are dossier kills, not board copy.

Should I run this or Liquid Emotions?

Run Simulacrum prep when you want the 7-wave arena (emotions, keys, pinnacle path). Stay on liquid-emotions when the paycheck is map fog packs, red mirrors, and Delirium bosses without staging an arena open.

Do prep maps under Grand Mirror fog still need Delirium tablets?

Yes for full fog strength. Since 0.5.3, Delirium Fog scaling was halved and Delirium Tablets scale fog effect on Grand Mirror maps and fog banks — three Delirium tablets restore the previous scaling. Splinter banking / Deliriousness push still happens on those maps before the arena open.
